Most of my jewellery designs require very little care. Although they all look rather delicate, they're quite robust. However, you should take off your jewels before exercising or going to sleep. Also, fine rings should be removed before carrying heavy things.
If you want to clean your jewellery, it's best to do so carefully with a tooth brush and some soap. You can also leave the jewellery in a bowl with warm water for a little while before that, it makes the cleaning process easier.

SilverSilver tends to oxidize with time. The easiest way to prevent this is by wearing your silver jewellery frequently - the oil in your skin helps to prevent tarnish. Apart from that, silver should be kept far away from humidity (so not in the bathroom!) and air. Storing it in little zipper bags is therefore ideal. Once your silver jewellery has gotten really oxidized, you can clean it with a silver polishing cloth or with a tooth brush and some silver soap (I have a favorite one from Hamburg).

Gold Platings'Gold plated' means that the jewellery is covered with a layer of gold. I use 18 carat gold for this process.
When jewellery is exposed to a lot of friction, like rings often are, the gold can wear off with time. You don't have to be concerned about gold plated earrings, necklaces and bracelets but rings for everyday use should ideally consist of solid silver or gold only. If you would like a new gold plating for your jewellery you can always contact me. |
PearlsPearls are rather sensitive and should therefore only be cleaned with a soft humid cloth.
They can tarnish when having direct contact with chemicals which is why you should be careful applying cosmetical products like hair spray and perfume when wearing them. Chlorine can have similar effects – always take your pearl jewellery off before swimming in a pool! It's generally best to 'put them on last and take them off first', as pearl experts say. |
